I’ve always been pretty active. Before I met Jess I did a lot of running, a lot of cardio. I thought that was the most important thing to focus on and I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing in the gym. I didn’t want to waste my time lifting weights when I wasn’t sure if I was doing it correctly. As much as I ran (I even completed the NYC marathon) – I was never happy with how I looked. I could run 26.2 miles, but I couldn’t do a push up, couldn’t hold a plank for longer than 10 seconds.

I reached out to Jess because she had been training my sister-in-law and I literally watched her body transform. I wanted the same thing. I go to her group classes, which I love – (the women in those classes are like an added bonus to Jessika’s services) and she writes me programs to do in the gym on the days that I am not working out with the group.

My body has changed. My body fat has gone from 21% to 11%. I am stronger than I’ve ever been. I was wrong about everything (fitness-wise) before meeting Jess. I thought you had to do cardio to lose weight. I thought you had to be your ideal weight before you started lifting weights or else you’d get too big. I thought I couldn’t eat carbs. I’ve learned so much. I am most proud of my endurance. I am confident in the gym now and I can give myself a killer workout using just my body weight and a park bench.

Weight loss and fitness can be a very personal subject for people – we all do things wrong, maybe things we aren’t proud of. Jessika never judges, she just helps and guides you. Meeting her and training with her has literally been a game changer for me.
